The Strat? That was my first ever. Plenty beat up and still sporting some stickers from my high school days.

I've got a Silvertone strat clone. $60 bucks, one of the best sounding guitar's I've got.

Haha nice. What are you running for strings? They look really thick.

Ah, I was lazy the last time I restrung my acoustic and just threw a set of D'addario .10-.46 electrics on. Very bendy.

Thanks, I just got that one about a month ago. I'd been wanting a 7-string for a long time.

As a fellow lefty, great work on the collection! I currently have two Strats and I'm debating between a Les Paul or an SG. Its going to come down to which is more comfortable but I haven't been able to find a lefty SG, damn things are unicorns...

Thanks, each one has a unique feel and tone and I love them all. The LP is fantastic. If you're willing to go to an Epiphone I believe they have the G-400 (SG) for about $400.
For my money the Epis are superb guitars at a far more accessible price point than a Gibson.

I'm far from a brand snob, in fact I actually like playing my Squier Strat a bit more than my Am. Std. On that note, I've heard Epiphone's fit&finish is a little less consistent than Squier's so I'm a bit hesitant about buying one sight unseen. Do you have any input on that?
I'd attach a pic but both are currently apart for some customization. The Am. Std. Is getting the David Gilmour's Black Strat treatment and a new bridge (ditching the late 80's offset saddles for modern ones) and the Squier is inheriting the aged white PG, matching controls and pup covers, and an upgraded bridge with stamped saddles and heavier trem block.

I've had two Epis (started out with a LP100 then sold that and got my Standard Plus Top) and they've both been top notch in terms of quality.

Some lefties worked out how to conform with the majority. I don't know why you had to buy upside down guitars.

Sweet! I got to have a similar evening last weekend. I dont play nearly as much as I should, but I'm looking to remedy that.

Nice, I like that burst Strat.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll admit my own ignorance because 90% of the guitars I've handled have been Fender products just because I've only ever seen 1 Gibson/Epi in the flesh.

No problem. If I gigged a lot or had lots of money I'd go for a Gibson, but Epiphones are really like getting 90% of the experience for 1/4 the price.

I agree, the only reason I have an American Std. is because I found a crazy deal when I was looking for a Mexi Strat.
